I was lucky in life to work in a job I really enjoyed – as a costume and prop maker in London/UK for 30 years. I was trained as a costume maker at the “Wimbledon School of Art” back in the nineties; then worked in this profession until the year 2018. My main client was the company Rainbow in London. This company is internationally know for the production of human-sized mascots. After my move to Germany in 2018 I started with the making of models and dioramas. I think that the making of miniatures has a lot of common with my work in the UK.
I am very much interested in the creation of visual three-dimensional depictions of subjects, which may concern everybody to a more or lesser degree; such as my model “Scars”. At the moment I am working on a new model which is called “Tribes”. A work in three parts, which deals with certain aspects of tribal life.
So enjoy my work, which the photographer Rolf-D. Hitzbleck has so beautifully staged!
